The 6th Amendment of the Constitution
In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy trial, by an impartial jury in State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense.
The 6th Amendment tells me that if I get arrested for any crime I have a right to a speedy trial with an impartial jury. It also states that I have a right to an attorney and that I dont have to wait long.
Are you kidding me!!!
I look at this case and see that a judge asked this female weather she knew the person being tried and she clearly states she does in many regards. That right there should tell the judge that he should not keep her on the jury because as the 6th Amendment clearly states, "By an impartial jury". Its mind boggling that this still happens in our courts today.
